As most of you know, I am in school to receive my LMT licensure [Massage Therapy]. I am in the home stretch and I have some commitments that have to be fulfilled to graduate. With that being said, I would like to introduce you to Ellie. If you come to DrishTi, then you have already met. Ellie just finished a teacher training in Costa Rica and needs to fulfill a certain amount of teaching credits to receive her full certification. It’s a perfect match! Ellie will be teaching some community classes from the beginning of April into June. I will still be teaching most of the classes, but she will be interning/apprenticing to help out during this time. She is completely aligned with the principles set forth at DrishTi and is excited to share her personality with you. She will lead her first class on Saturday, 4/6 @ 11:00 AM: Ease-Flow Yoga. I will be there taking the class, and attending others that she is leading. You will have class with her at times when I have a school commitment to fulfill [these dates are not guaranteed to be announced ahead of time]. In the spirit of our lovely community, let’s make sure she feels supported and embraced.
Here are some words and bio from Ellie:
After the last eight years journeying through the holistic health world I recently traveled to Costa Rica to train as a yoga instructor with my teacher of four years, Ashley Albrand. Ashley’s school, Infinite Source Yoga, is a blend of the traditional Krishnamacharya lineage, tantra, myofascial release, nature worship, ancestral arts, evolutionary astrology, musical activation and medicine dance. Combined with my training as an integrative nutrition counselor I feel called to share my passion for yogic philosophies with those interested in embodying their most empowered selves. My studies of yoga and Ayurveda drew me to Yoga DrishTi where I quickly resonated with the community and principles Nicole has been cultivating over the years. I feel so blessed to be able to teach at DrishTi as a part of my post training assignment and assist Nicole as she pursues her LMT studies at the Onondaga School of Therapeutic Massage.
